Fees for clinical consultation vary on the clinician you see and the consultation provided. As a general guide, standard 50 minute sessional fees vary from $150 to $260. Individual clinicians will advise you of their fee schedule when you book your initial consultation.
Provisional Pyschologist Fees: Consultation fees for seeing a provisional psychologist are reduced from standard rates. This is because fees are not eligible for Medicare rebates when seeing a provisional psychologist. The fee for an initial assessment consultation (90 minutes) is $125, including the administration of standardised measures and feedback. Subsequent treatment consultations (50 minutes) attract a fee of $70 per session.
Couples Therapy Fees: Couples therapy is not funded by Medicare and does not attract a government rebate. However, clients are encouraged to contact their private health fund as some will cover a portion, or all of the cost of therapy, depending on the individual coverage taken out.
If you are a current health care card holder, please share this with your clinician when discussing consultation fees Please note Inner North is not a bulk billing practice.
