Couples Therapy

Does your relationship need some support?

Relationships can be the most rewarding aspect of your life; but let's face it they can also be the most challenging.

Relationships can be the most rewarding aspect of your life; but they can also be the most challenging.  Positive and respectful relationships require effort on both parts. As you grow and need to adapt throughout life; so too do your relationships. Indeed, major life changes can create stress on your relationship, such as having children, losing a family member, or changes to your work circumstances.

So too, smaller and frequent difficulties can have a significant impact, such as unresolved disagreements, loss of warmth and friendliness and changes to your sex life.  That’s why some couples find it helpful to seek help from someone qualified outside of their relationship. Seeking support from a qualified relationship therapist has been shown to have a positive impact for many couples, with about 70% of cases showing positive change[1].

At Inner North, our qualified couples therapists will help you and your partner identify the issues you are experiencing, whatever stage your relationship may be at. We will support you to express the difficult emotions you need to in a safe and non-judgemental space with the aim to see you both living more fulfilling lives.

We work through difficulties such as communication-style mismatches, infidelity and mistrust, emotional disconnection, separation and divorce, step-family issues, relational trauma, and child rearing conflicts; welcoming members of the LGBTQIA+ community, and clients from all sexual orientations, genders, cultures, backgrounds, faiths, and relationship types including non-monogamous and poly partnerships.
